Summary
In the last section of this book it talks about how Fawcett was seen going into the subterranean city and he was still alive. It talks about how they think that Fawcett had gone into a labrinth of underground tunnels and found the City of Z. they say that it was a portal to another reality. It wasnt soon after that Grann and Paulo met with the Kalapalos that they thought of ending their search. It talks about how they had many, many misquito bites and were both very tired. it talks about the conversation that Grann had with his wife and son. It talked about how his wife said it was hard without him and she asked if he was coming home soon. He had to hangup on her because someone was coming and then he followd the young indian back to the village. At the end Grann thouhgt he could see the Lost City of Z.
Quote
"For a moment, I could see this vanished world as if it were right in front of me. Z" (Grann 319).
Reaction
My reaction to this was that maybe, even though he hever found out what happened to Fawcett, he imagined what the City would look like. Maybe he reasherched so much that he now somewhat knew what this lost city looked like. And that maybe he did find the city, even if he did not relize it.
