The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon (66-141)

Summary
In this section of the book Fawcett was led into the RGS to see Goldie. Goldie was nearly 60 years of age and had blue eyes.  In his pocket he carried a bottle like tube that had poison.  Goldie asked Fawcett about Bolivia and if he knew anything about it.  Fawcett did not know anything about Bolivia.  It did not even matter what Fawcett replied because Goldie still went on to say that he thinks that Bolivia as a country is the roof of the world.
Fawcett went on to Morocco and was participating in Africa.  He scribbled words onto scrolls and said that he was chatting to Morocco officials and telling them valuable information.
A group of people called the Guayaki practiced rituals that were cannibalistic. They cut peoples heads off (the people were already dead) with bamboo knives. They also cut the persons body into fourths and cut the legs off.

Reaction
When I read this I was amazed by the fact that people have cannibalistic rituals and that they served the limbs to people.  Also it was interesting because it makes me want to read more about this ritual.  Also it was shocking because they did this at all.
